Payer Enrollment Supervisor (Healthcare)

Location: Remote, USA

Annual base salary: $76,000–$115,500, with potential discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Oversee the full payer enrollment and maintenance lifecycle for individual and group providers, including enrollments, revalidations, demographic updates, roster submissions, and payer maintenance.
• Supervise, coach, train, and support payer enrollment staff through workload management, performance oversight, and quality reviews.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for commercial payer enrollment requirements, provider participation, and complex payer issues.
• Maintain CAQH profiles, provider data, attestations, documentation, enrollment records, payer statuses, rosters, and effective dates.
• Partner with Credentialing, Contracting, Compliance, Legal, Provider Operations, Revenue Cycle, Billing, and commercial payers.
• Develop scalable policies, controls, metrics, process improvements, and automation to improve accuracy, turnaround times, and billing readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of payer enrollment experience in a healthcare, medical group, health plan, hospital, CVO, or behavioral health setting.
• 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to coach staff and manage accountability.
• Deep knowledge of commercial payer enrollment, provider participation, roster management, revalidations, and payer requirements.
• Experience with CAQH, NPPES, PECOS, payer portals, credentialing software, and ticketing systems such as CredentialStream, Salesforce, or Zendesk.
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, compliance, escalation-management, and process improvement skills.
