What you will do

• Supervise artisans to deliver safe, efficient, and productive mechanical maintenance on the shaft.
• Develop annual operational plans and support longer-term planning for throughput, maintenance, budgets, and resources.
• Plan spares requirements and ensure the availability of materials for scheduled maintenance.
• Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly priorities, labour allocation, equipment use, and progress against operational and budget targets.
• Inspect workmanship, monitor section performance, compile reports, and maintain accurate labour and overtime records.
• Implement safety procedures, conduct safety meetings, and complete injury, hazard, risk, and incident reports.

Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Trade certificate and Foreman Certificate.
• Five years of qualified post-trade experience; supervisory experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in A2 Safety and VFL Training.
• Advanced knowledge of site-specific mechanical equipment, including troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, condition monitoring, and defect elimination.
• Proficient English: speaking, reading, and writing.
