Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: On-site in New York City. Most full-time roles are based daily at the New York City office; candidates located in or open to relocating to the listed location are encouraged to apply.

Salary: $100K–$180K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and improve application features with product, design, operations, and infrastructure teams.
• Contribute to user-facing interfaces and backend services using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Develop reusable software components and APIs connecting front-end and back-end systems.
• Write clean, efficient, reliable code and optimize applications for performance and scalability.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable systems across the stack.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues across front-end, APIs, and databases, and take ownership of assigned features.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Expected graduation between December 2026 and August 2027, with anticipated start dates in early 2027 or summer 2027.
• Experience building and programming through internships, class projects, personal projects, or open-source work.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Frontend or backend development experience; full-stack exposure is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Nice to have

• Experience with automation, data-heavy systems, or fintech problems.
• Enjoyment of debugging and troubleshooting complex systems.
