TL;DR
Technical Support Engineer 2 (Windows/Linux/VMware): Managing and monitoring enterprise systems across Windows, Linux, cloud, application, and network environments with an accent on virtualization, firewalls, directory services, and proactive production monitoring. Focus on troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, maintaining VMware and Microsoft platforms, tuning security policies, and supporting multi-data-center operations.

What you will do
- Monitor and manage production systems in a multi-data-center enterprise environment while meeting SLA requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows, Linux, cloud, application, virtualization, and network issues.
- Maintain VMware platforms, including vCenter and vCloud, and support virtual infrastructure operations.
- Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, security policies, NAT rules, VPNs, threat-prevention settings, routing, and load balancers.
- Manage Microsoft Windows servers, Active Directory, IIS, and related services including DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS, and clustering.
- Document procedures, train support staff, improve operational processes, and participate in project delivery and an after-hours on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in information technology.
- 3+ years supporting Windows and Linux platforms, VMware virtual infrastructure, and network connectivity at the application and server operating system levels.
- Experience managing Active Directory, including replication services, group policies, and folder redirection.
- Experience with Microsoft products including SharePoint, Office 365, SCCM, Microsoft SQL, and IIS.
- Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, TCP/IP, MySQL, Apache, ColdFusion, backup, and patching.
- Required: scripting experience with Python, PHP, or PowerShell; flexible schedules, after-hours availability, and occasional travel may be required.

- Palo Alto Networks and Panorama experience.
- Ansible experience.
