Environmental Health and Safety Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Rosemount, Minnesota, United States. This role is open only to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals granted refugee or asylee status; temporary visa holders are not eligible.

What you will do

• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, site audits, hazard identification, and risk reduction.
• Develop and deliver safety training, new hire orientation, and workplace safety awareness initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Management to support OSHA, environmental, and safety regulatory compliance.
• Lead Safety Committee activities, emergency response planning, and preparedness drills.
• Manage regulatory reporting, safety metrics, and documentation, including OSHA, SARA, and SDS requirements.
• Maintain safety programs covering PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, Hazard Communication, and Ergonomics, while monitoring regulatory changes and implementing improvements.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in a relevant area of study and 2 years of applicable experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 years of experience conducting EHS inspections and risk assessments and promoting and monitoring workplace safety and environmental compliance.
• Strong knowledge of current and relevant Federal and State EHS regulations and best practices.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with Engineering, Operations, and Management at all levels.
