Environmental Health and Safety Specialist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to reduce workplace risks.
• Develop and deliver safety training, new-hire orientation, and awareness initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Management to maintain OSHA, environmental, and safety compliance.
• Conduct site audits, identify hazards, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead Safety Committee activities, emergency response planning, and preparedness drills.
• Manage regulatory reporting, safety metrics, documentation, and programs covering PPE, Lockout/Tagout, fall protection, hazard communication, and ergonomics.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in a relevant field and at least two years of applicable experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least two years of experience conducting EHS inspections and risk assessments and monitoring workplace safety and environmental compliance.
• Strong knowledge of current federal and state EHS regulations and best practices.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Due to ITAR regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals with refugee or asylee status. Temporary visa holders are not eligible.
