Electrical Engineer II/III – Project Execution (Natural Gas)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize electrical systems and power distribution networks for pipelines, compressor stations, storage facilities, and related critical infrastructure.
• Integrate automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage technologies to improve system performance and reduce operating costs.
• Implement arc flash mitigation and fault detection measures to protect personnel and improve infrastructure reliability.
• Provide technical expertise on power distribution, electrical schematics, system layouts, and facility upgrades.
• Manage engineering projects from concept through completion while meeting business goals, schedules, and budget requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and present solutions to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Four years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of arc flash studies, power system design, analysis, and simulation.
• Working knowledge of electrical design codes, including NEC, NEMA, API, and IEEE.
• Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, transformers, generators, and switchgear.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, and a demonstrated commitment to safety.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer licensure or a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with PLC, HMI, ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink, or similar tools.
• Project management and Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC experience on small- to medium-sized facility projects.
• Experience with grid integration, renewable energy systems, equipment procurement, commissioning, testing, and startup.
