Senior Internal Auditor (Healthcare)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; Louisville, KY headquarters is preferred, and occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required. Standard daytime hours must be worked in either the Eastern or Central time zone.

Salary: $86,300–$118,700 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead operational, compliance, financial, and investigative audit engagements, setting priorities, timelines, and audit scope.
• Conduct process walkthroughs with business owners and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
• Identify audit issues and root causes, recommend improvements, and collaborate with business partners on remediation.
• Support risk identification and development of the risk-based audit plan.
• Provide feedback and mentoring to staff and interns.
• Provide leadership to departmental committees and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 3 years of audit experience.
• Experience leading walkthrough discussions and identifying controls.
• Experience consulting across teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to prioritize work while maintaining focus on broader business objectives.
• Ability to work standard daytime hours in the Eastern or Central time zone; a dedicated, interruption-free workspace is required to protect PHI and HIPAA information.

Nice to have

• CPA, CIA, PMP, or CFE certification.
• Healthcare industry or public accounting audit experience.
• Experience with data analytics or business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, R, or Python.
• Six Sigma Black Belt, process improvement, or quality control expertise.
