Sr Engineer, Software Engineer - Java/Angular (2 - 5 years' experience)

Location: Columbus, Ohio, at Three hirify.global Plaza; hybrid schedule with in-office collaboration on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Salary: $76,000–$143,000 annually; expected starting range: $76,000–$115,000.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, debug, document, deploy, and maintain software applications.
• Build and support secure technology solutions for the Retirement Solutions line of business.
• Develop and integrate modern web technologies, APIs, and Java-based services.
• Troubleshoot complex software development problems and provide effective solutions.
• Apply secure software engineering and DevSecOps practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while collaborating across teams and departments.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of analysis and technology experience.
• Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, Angular, RESTful APIs, and Apigee.
• Experience with GitHub, SQL, Kubernetes with Rancher, and cloud-native platforms.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile team practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Must work in a hybrid arrangement in Columbus, Ohio, with office attendance on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Insurance or financial services industry knowledge.
• An undergraduate degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field; relevant technology experience or certificates may substitute.
