Manager, Site Services - APAC (MedTech)

Location: Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan; limited regional travel across APAC of up to 15–25%.

Johnson & Johnson MedTech develops healthcare and medical technology solutions, with this role supporting DePuy Synthes operations.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day site services and facilities management operations.
• Manage facilities, security, cleaning, maintenance, and other third-party service providers, including contracts, KPIs, performance, and costs.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, corporate standards, environmental health and safety requirements, and internal policies.
• Partner with Global Real Estate, Facilities Management, Corporate Operations, and regional stakeholders on workplace strategies and initiatives.
• Oversee space management, workplace services, site projects, budgets, forecasting, and cost optimization.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardize facilities practices across APAC sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, site services, or corporate operations.
• Experience managing vendors, service contracts, site-level operations, operating budgets, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety, EHS standards, and local regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading site initiatives or projects and collaborating with local, regional, and global stakeholders.
• Fluency in Japanese and business-level English are required.

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• Experience supporting multi-site or regional APAC operations.
• Healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated-industry background.
• Knowledge of global real estate, workplace strategy, sustainability, or energy management.
• Facilities Management or EHS certifications such as IFMA, RICS, or NEBOSH.
