What you will do
- Install, repair, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on electro-mechanical medical equipment.
- Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and complete corrective actions within service-level agreements.
- Manage an assigned territory by scheduling service calls, maintenance visits, parts, and travel.
- Document equipment performance and maintenance records while maintaining calibrated test equipment and accurate inventory records.
- Train hospital and clinic personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures.
- Communicate service status and arrival times to customers while supporting installations, field actions, meetings, and training events.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in engineering, biomedical equipment technology, or computer science; alternatively, a related certification or qualifying non-related degree with experience.
- At least 3 years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience is required for the non-related degree or BMET certification pathways.
- Ability to independently diagnose equipment problems, manage a territory, and communicate professionally with customers.
- Ability to work in hospitals and clinics while following PPE and environmental, health, and safety procedures.
- Ability to kneel, stand, squat, bend, lift, pull, and twist; regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel, including overnight stays, are required.

- Previous field service experience.
- Completion of a U.S. military electrical or electrical biomedical equipment technology program.
