Field Service Engineer (Biomedical Equipment)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; remote from home with up to 35% travel, including overnight travel within the assigned territory and travel at short notice

Annual salary: $68,000–$72,000, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on designated customer equipment and IT solutions.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical testing in line with maintenance contracts.
• Respond to customer support calls and maintain accurate follow-up communication.
• Apply documented processes and root cause analysis to resolve service issues and improve customer satisfaction.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and generate leads for service agreements, parts, upgrades, consumables, and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or in Biology, Chemistry, or another STEM field.
• Equivalent military training, or an associate’s degree combined with at least two years of work experience, may be accepted.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
• Ability to travel up to 35%, including overnight travel and short-notice customer-site visits.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 lb.

• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic equipment.
