Graduate Thermal Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Stevenage, United Kingdom. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible for the required security clearance.

What you will do

• Design and verify thermal control systems for a diverse range of spacecraft missions.
• Investigate complex space-environment topics, including plume impingement, micrometeorites, outgassing, and planetary surface simulations.
• Use thermal engineering tools and gain direct experience with flight hardware.
• Own technical work packages, present findings, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop end-to-end spacecraft engineering experience from mission analysis and conceptual design through verification and in-flight performance analysis.
• Complete at least one rotational placement in areas such as Propulsion, Systems Engineering, or Attitude and Orbit Control Systems.

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a similar discipline.
• Recent graduation or initial professional experience in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Space.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively and interest in future aerospace innovation.
• Self-awareness and motivation to take ownership of professional development.
• Existing UK work authorization or eligibility through another route is required; Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is not available.
