TL;DR
Graduate MilSatCom Systems Engineer (SatCom): Supporting the design, development, integration, and testing of defence-critical end-to-end satellite communications systems with an accent on requirements engineering, system architecture, and MBSE/SysML modelling. Focus on validating system performance, conducting trade studies, managing technical risks, and collaborating across software, hardware, and project teams.

Location: Portsmouth, United Kingdom. The role requires existing right to work in the UK, eligibility for security clearance, and sole UK nationality without dual passports. Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

  • Support the design, development, integration, and testing of systems and subsystems.
  • Contribute to requirements definition, traceability, and validation.
  • Develop and model system architectures using MBSE, SysML, and related tools.
  • Support system performance analysis, trade studies, risk assessments, and mitigation planning.
  • Prepare system specifications, test plans, design reviews, and other technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and project management teams while completing at least one rotational placement.

Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent in Systems Engineering, preferably with SatCom experience.
  • Recent graduation or initial professional experience in Systems Engineering, preferably in the SatCom domain.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required.
  • Existing UK right to work and eligibility for required security clearance.
  • Sole UK nationality with no dual passport.
