Staff Data Scientist (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid with on-site expectations of 2–3 days per week in the local office

Salary: $155,000–$187,000 USD annually for Tier 1 NYC/Bay Area markets; compensation is adjusted by geographic pay zone outside the listed cities.

hirify.global is a growth-stage fintech company building rent payment and consumer bill management products that help users align payments with their cash flow and build credit.

What you will do

• Build and maintain core dbt and Snowflake data models supporting reporting, experimentation, machine learning, and credit risk use cases.
• Analyze bill payment timing, splitting, delinquency, and credit-building outcomes to evaluate the product pilot.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to instrument bill splitting, smart scheduling, and credit-building features.
• Design and analyze A/B and quasi-experimental studies covering pricing, credit terms, and product flows.
• Create dashboards and self-serve analytics tools for Product, Risk, and GTM teams.
• Set technical direction for scalable data models and pipelines, mentor analysts and engineers, and improve data quality and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience spanning analytics engineering and data science or analyst work.
• Strong SQL and hands-on experience with dbt and Snowflake or an equivalent modern data stack.
• Experience with BI tools such as Sigma, Tableau, Mode, or Looker and with building dashboards for non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience designing and analyzing experiments to guide product decisions.
• Ability to partner effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with credit, risk, or fintech data.
• Curiosity about how consumers manage their finances.
