Graduate Structures Test Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design and support structural test systems ranging from small material coupons to full-scale aircraft wings.
• Perform hands-on testing to provide data for aircraft certification and flight safety.
• Develop advanced measurement, control, instrumentation, and data acquisition methods.
• Use AI, machine learning, and data-driven platforms to improve data analytics and virtual test capabilities.
• Contribute to the design and commissioning of cryogenic test facilities for hydrogen-powered flight.
• Complete rotational placements across test leading, test means engineering, advanced test technologies, test operations, and related teams.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as materials science, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, control systems, instrumentation, systems engineering, mechatronics, civil engineering, data science, metrology, robotics, or physics.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required.
• Interest, skills, or experience in at least one relevant area, including structures, metrology, hydraulics, control systems, data acquisition and instrumentation, virtual testing and simulation, AI and machine learning, materials testing, computer vision, statistical analysis, or robotics and automation.
• Collaborative working style, self-awareness, and motivation to take ownership of professional development.
• Security clearance is required or eligibility for clearance must be demonstrated.
• Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is not available; existing UK work authorisation or eligibility through another route is required.
