Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Portsmouth, United Kingdom, with some hybrid working available

What you will do

• Manage New Product Introduction into manufacturing and facilities, coordinating technical, programme, and cost requirements.
• Deliver manufacturing engineering inputs, including work instructions, routings, cost models, and proposals.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing facility and capability limitations affecting project delivery.
• Support problem-solving activities involving NCRs, IRB/NRBs, and PPS processes.
• Monitor operational performance and technical risks, proposing mitigations and resolutions.
• Drive continuous improvement and Design for Manufacture and Assembly implementation using standard and qualified processes.

Requirements

• Experience with high-reliability electronics, surface mount assembly, and RF products.
• Knowledge of the project lifecycle from design through production, including formal reviews, programme control, risk management, and cost control.
• Awareness of manufacturing systems such as CAD, CAM, Manufacturing Execution Systems, SAP, and technical publications.
• Experience working within a matrix structure and demonstrated teamwork skills.
• Must hold or be able to obtain SC Security Clearance.
