Salary: $49,000–$61,800 per year

What you will do

  • Schedule single- and multi-provider appointments for new and existing patients.
  • Perform front-desk check-in and check-out, patient registration, demographic updates, and insurance verification.
  • Coordinate complex referrals, second opinions, medical records, prior authorizations, and appointments across care locations.
  • Triage patient and provider calls, direct patient flow, respond to emergencies according to procedures, and resolve administrative issues.
  • Process forms, reports, records requests, database entries, billing-related workflows, and schedule changes.
  • Coordinate care with the main campus and support patient navigation, clinical intake, and administrative training.

Requirements

  • Associate degree; three years of equivalent experience may substitute. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Three years of experience in a medical or customer service setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and changing insurance plans, including high-risk insurance programs.
  • Experience carrying out complex scheduling and preparing reports, correspondence, and administrative documents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, computer, customer service, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use DFCI and local hospital systems, including Meditech.
