Neurology Medical Head

What you will do

• Develop and execute Japan neurology medical strategies, therapeutic area plans, timelines, and key deliverables.
• Lead cross-functional projects involving product advisory boards, lifecycle management, Phase IV activities, investigator-initiated studies, publications, and medical training.
• Align local plans with global and regional medical functions and serve as the medical point of contact for alliances and worldwide affiliates.
• Lead local neurology medical team meetings, prioritize activities, track milestones, report progress, and improve operational processes, tools, and templates.
• Supervise and coach MSL managers on KOL mapping, engagement plans, execution, performance metrics, and KPI delivery.
• Manage financial trajectories, annual operating planning, resource forecasting, consultants, vendors, and risk-mitigation activities.

Requirements

• MD in neurology or internal medicine, or an advanced degree in life sciences preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese are required.
• At least five years of related industry experience.
• Experience with strategic planning, cross-functional leadership, global medical affairs, R&D, pharmaceutical commercialization, and regulatory processes preferred.
• Ability to work independently and navigate complex regulatory environments in person and through digital channels.
• Substantial national and international travel may be required.
