What you will do
- Lead and shape medical strategy and plans for products and therapeutic areas.
- Provide medical input into brand strategy, product launches, lifecycle management, portfolio discussions, and value/access activities.
- Represent the Japan medical perspective in global and regional discussions.
- Identify evidence gaps and lead evidence generation, publications, advisory boards, scientific meetings, and other medical programs.
- Build strategic relationships with key opinion leaders, scientific experts, and external stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives, support decision-making with scientific insights, and mentor medical colleagues.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in life sciences or a relevant field, or equivalent education and professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or a related pharmaceutical function.
- Strong scientific and medical expertise, with the ability to lead medical strategy and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Japanese and English is required.
- Ability to conduct activities in accordance with company policies, compliance requirements, regulations, and ethical standards.
Nice to have
- Experience in Medical Affairs, clinical research, real-world data or real-world evidence, and evidence generation.
- Expertise in rare diseases or relevant therapeutic areas.
- Experience with product lifecycle management and global or regional collaboration.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
