What you will do

  • Serve as the in-country medical lead for hematology assets and pipeline activities.
  • Represent Medical Affairs in cross-functional planning with regional and global partners.
  • Direct Field Medical execution, insight generation, and external scientific engagement.
  • Coach and develop Field Medical colleagues through onboarding, feedback, and guidance.
  • Support clinical development, research, investigator engagement, and site identification.
  • Lead medical strategy for congresses, symposia, advisory boards, educational activities, and scientific presentations.

Requirements

  • MD or PhD with strong scientific expertise and extensive hematology experience.
  • More than 10–15 years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, drug development, lifecycle management, and Japanese regulatory requirements.
  • Experience leading people, directing Field Medical activities, and working in matrix organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of solid tumors and a thorough understanding of the Japanese healthcare environment.
  • Business-level Japanese and English proficiency; willingness to travel approximately 10–20%.

Nice to have

  • Immuno-hematology experience.
  • Publication record and translational or basic research experience.
