Trademark Attorney

Location: Remote; role focused on U.S. trademark practice

Salary: $77,300–$114,400 annually, with potential bonus, incentive bonus, and/or restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Conduct and review trademark searches, clearance opinions, risk analyses, and registrability assessments.
• Advise small-business clients on trademark strategy and the strength of their marks through phone and online consultations.
• File a high volume of trademark applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• Respond to Office actions and interact with USPTO examining attorneys.
• Use AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve efficiency, consistency, and customer experience while maintaining legal quality.
• Assist senior trademark attorneys with their caseloads and reduce administrative workload through effective technology use.

Requirements

• Minimum experience in U.S. trademark prosecution is required.
• Juris Doctorate (JD).
• Active license in good standing with at least one state bar.
• Experience with high-volume U.S. trademark prosecution, clearance searching and opinions, Office actions, USPTO interactions, and client advising.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including explaining legal concepts to non-attorneys by phone and online.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and advise small businesses and startups in a fast-paced environment.
