Temporary Trademark Paralegal

Location: Palo Alto, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, and other U.S. locations; fully remote or hybrid schedule available

Salary: $45.48–$61.54 per hour in Palo Alto and San Francisco; $43.21–$58.46 per hour in Los Angeles, San Diego, and other locations

What you will do

• Communicate with attorneys and clients about trademark clearance, prosecution, deadlines, renewals, maintenance, and status reporting.
• Prepare, file, and maintain U.S. trademark applications and registrations, including renewals, statements of use, assignments, powers of attorney, and related USPTO filings.
• Conduct preliminary trademark clearance searches using USPTO, commercial databases, AI tools, and foreign trademark office resources.
• Coordinate foreign counsel, document legalization, signatures, global trademark registration strategies, and international filing matters.
• Manage U.S. and foreign trademark deadlines, docket items, watch notices, file transfers, and records in WebTMS.
• Support TTAB actions, UDRP complaints, U.S. copyright filings, copyright assignments, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection trademark recordation.

Requirements

• College degree and/or paralegal certificate required.
• 4+ years of trademark paralegal experience required.
• Proficiency in WebTMS and USPTO filing procedures.
• Knowledge of U.S. and international trademark prosecution rules and procedures.
• Strong project management, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, attorneys, and staff across offices, including overtime as needed.
