Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; onsite with occasional remote work

Salary: $72,000–$76,385 per year

What you will do

• Study the mechanisms of metastasis and dormancy in uveal melanoma using a novel mouse model.
• Design, conduct, and independently interpret basic science and translational cancer research experiments.
• Analyze experimental data and prepare reports, presentations, grant materials, and manuscripts.
• Maintain detailed records of research activities and contribute to standard operating procedure improvements.
• Train and oversee research technicians in laboratory work.
• Contribute to laboratory budget monitoring as required.

Requirements

• MD and/or PhD in biology, chemistry, medicine, or a related field.
• High-level proficiency in cell culture, protein work, and RNA-seq/qPCR.
• Advanced technical proficiency, scientific creativity, independence, and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with faculty and staff.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with mouse research models.
• Experience with CRISPR-based functional tools.
