Sr. Research Associate, RNA Innovation

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; site-based and not eligible for remote work

Salary: $74,000–$118,400 per year, plus potential bonus, incentive compensation, or equity

What you will do

• Study the stability and translation of modified mRNA using mammalian cell lines and in vitro biochemistry.
• Develop and execute analytical methods including RT/qPCR, chromatography, and mass spectrometry.
• Develop and execute Next Generation Sequencing library preparation protocols.
• Maintain cell lines, laboratory equipment, scientific records, and an organized laboratory space.
• Communicate scientific findings with colleagues and collaborators.

Requirements

• MS in Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience; 3–5 years preferred.
• Knowledge of the biochemistry and chemical biology of nucleic acids, with experience working with RNA.
• Full-time presence at hirify.global’s site is required; remote work is not available.
• Existing U.S. work authorization is required, and candidates must qualify as U.S. persons for export-control purposes.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with mammalian cell culture and related techniques.
• Experience with gel electrophoresis, qPCR, Next Generation Sequencing, chromatography, or other RNA analytical methods.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, collaborative, independent-working, and record-keeping skills.
