Research Associate, Immuno-Oncology Research (mRNA)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; 70% in-office work model

Salary: $63,200–$100,900 per year, with potential bonus, incentive compensation, or equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Use mRNA products to characterize expression and activity of immuno-oncology therapeutic proteins in in vitro and in vivo systems.
• Execute and support immune cell isolation, cell culture, co-culture, transfection, ELISA/MSD, flow cytometry, reporter assays, and other functional assays.
• Process and analyze samples for pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies.
• Contribute to early preclinical research, IND-enabling studies, and translational research.
• Analyze, visualize, and present experimental data while maintaining organized laboratory records and an electronic lab notebook.
• Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced research environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Technical experience with cell transfection, long-term immune cell cultures, co-culture assays, and multicolor flow cytometry.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while delivering high-quality, reproducible data.
• Self-motivation, flexibility, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Only U.S. persons—U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, or refugees—are eligible due to export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• At least one year of relevant immuno-oncology experience.
• Experience with MSD, ELISA, assay development and troubleshooting, qPCR, or ddPCR.
• Proficiency with GraphPad Prism and Omiq for flow cytometry analysis.
