AGGP2027 - EMH Lightning Direct Effects Engineering Graduate (Aerospace)

Location: Bristol Area, United Kingdom. The position requires existing UK right to work or eligibility through another route; Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is not available. Security clearance or eligibility for clearance is required.

What you will do

• Develop expertise in EMH lightning direct effects and electrostatic discharge within Systems Engineering.
• Contribute to standardisation, electrical architecture, certification, and environmental qualification activities.
• Design and define commissioning or investigative tests, work with test laboratories, witness lightning direct-effects and ESD testing, and analyse results.
• Develop optimised lightning protection solutions for aircraft fuel tanks and fuel systems using analytical and test techniques.
• Contribute to harmonised design solutions and policies benefiting multiple aircraft programmes and components.
• Collaborate with fuel systems and structures departments, including through at least one rotational placement.

Requirements

• Technical degree or equivalent, ideally in electrical, aeronautical, mechanical engineering, or physics.
• Recent graduate or holder of initial professional engineering experience, ideally focused on lightning effects.
• Strong organisation skills and effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate self-awareness and ownership of professional development.
• Existing UK right to work or eligibility through another route is required; Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is unavailable.
• Security clearance or eligibility for clearance is required.
