What you will do

• Provide technical support for pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Fill medication orders and develop proficiency with advanced preparations.
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding, primarily involving hazardous drugs, in compliance with USP <795>, USP <797>, USP <800>, institutional policies, and applicable research protocols.
• Deliver medications and supplies, maintain inventory, check expirations, and support ordering and receiving at applicable sites.
• Use electronic health records, inventory-management systems, automated dispensing cabinets, and other pharmacy technology.
• Perform quality-control documentation, cleaning, batch-compound logging, issue escalation, and cross-coverage as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or current enrollment in an accredited entry-level pharmacy or related degree program.
• At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, including 1 year of compounding experience.
• Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• For Londonderry or Merrimack Valley satellite roles, New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy registration is required.
• Pharmaceutical calculation, aseptic technique, sterile and non-sterile compounding, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
