Data Engineering Lead (Fashion)

What you will do

• Lead and implement client technical roadmaps in alignment with technology and architecture strategies.
• Own the architecture and ensure technical and non-technical components work together to meet customer needs.
• Lead digital development and operations using Python, Spark, RESTful APIs, and Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Deliver data platforms, data insights, dashboards, data lakes or hubs, and data products such as recommendation systems.
• Drive technical excellence, engineering standards, digital frameworks, and best practices.
• Coach product team members and lead project activities in collaboration with stakeholders and data scientists.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in a similar data engineering or technical leadership role.
• Experience developing and deploying ETL solutions on Azure, GCP, or AWS, including production ETL/ELT pipelines at scale.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data transformation, data profiling, advanced SQL, and data governance.
• 3–5 years of hands-on Azure experience with Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Azure Functions, App Logic, and streaming analytics services.
• Experience with automated unit and integration testing, cloud architecture, GitHub or similar, and CI/CD workflows.
• People management experience with a team of at least two members, plus service consulting and stakeholder management experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Airflow, Kubernetes, or Great Expectations.
• Basic knowledge of Power BI.
• A Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
