Maintenance Technician (Hotfill, Nights)

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; onsite night shift at the manufacturing plant

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including injection and blow molders, fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers.
• Repair and maintain facility and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, reverse osmosis systems, and other water filtration equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment.
• Maintain industrial control systems and perform equipment modification, lubrication, and operation according to defined processes.
• Work with operators, supervisors, preventative maintenance mechanics, senior maintenance technicians, and management to resolve mechanical issues.
• Document repairs, work orders, parts usage, safety activities, and shift attendance requirements.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience in a field or similar maintenance environment and four years of experience in the position; experience may combine work and education.
• High school diploma required; an associate degree in manufacturing, mechatronics, automation, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process instrumentation schematics.
• Experience using shop equipment and precision measuring tools, including presses, grinders, drill presses, mills, lathes, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges.
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments, work independently, train others, and use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Own toolbox and basic tools required.

Nice to have

• Six years of experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or the position.
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics.
• Experience with VFDs, servo drives and motors, rotary equipment, Krones, Sidel, Husky, HVAC, chillers, and air compressors.
• Experience repairing PLC I/O cards, safety modules, communication systems, and 480VAC and 24VDC electrical systems.
• Fabrication skills, including MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
