Master Student in the Field of Acoustics - Interior Noise (Aerospace)

Location: Hamburg, Germany; work is based at the hirify.global civil aircraft production site, with mobile working possible only by agreement with the department.

What you will do

• Research and analyze interior noise sources and propagation within aircraft cabins.
• Develop and apply acoustic simulation models and experimental methodologies.
• Evaluate noise reduction strategies and materials.
• Collect and analyze data from laboratory tests and flight measurements.
• Document and present research findings.
• Collaborate with acoustics engineers and researchers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, acoustics, or a related field.
• Strong academic background in acoustics, vibrations, or signal processing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.
• Cover letter, CV, relevant transcripts, and enrollment certificate required.

Nice to have

• Experience with MATLAB, ANSYS, COMSOL, or LMS Test.Lab.
• Experience with experimental acoustics and data acquisition systems.
• German language skills.
