Associate Project Manager, Engineering (Energy & Industrial Projects)

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams covering process, mechanical, electrical, civil and structural, and instrumentation and controls disciplines.
• Manage engineering delivery from conceptual design and FEED through detailed engineering, construction support, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up.
• Establish engineering execution plans, design standards, schedules, and deliverables aligned with project objectives.
• Coordinate with project management, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, clients, licensors, OEMs, and external engineering partners.
• Oversee equipment selection, vendor evaluations, technical bid reviews, field engineering, RFIs, redlines, and as-built documentation.
• Lead technical reviews, risk mitigation, change management, and resolution of complex engineering issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field; extensive relevant experience may be considered for related technical degrees.
• At least 10 years of progressive engineering experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing engineering teams on large-scale capital projects; projects of $500 million or more are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of EPC execution models and stage-gated project development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects through execution and commissioning.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations, including ASME, NFPA, OSHA, IEC, and API where applicable.

Nice to have

• Current Professional Engineer license in good standing.
• Experience with international vendors and global engineering teams.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling, model-based reviews, and document control platforms.
• Experience with AFE development, cost control, scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project, and contractor oversight.
