What you will do
- Lead onsite construction activities for AMI deployments, including meter installation, communications infrastructure, and supporting electrical work.
- Manage daily field operations across multiple crews, locations, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, audits, and quality-control reviews.
- Develop construction schedules and installation sequencing plans, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Track production rates, adjust resources, resolve field issues, and review subcontractor schedules, reports, invoices, and pay applications.
- Enforce safety, contract, utility, permitting, environmental, and OSHA requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least five years of experience in utility construction, AMI deployment, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing large-scale field operations and subcontractors.
- Proficiency with project management and construction scheduling tools, including MS Word, Excel, Project, and Primavera P6.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing issued by the resident state.
- OSHA 30 Construction certification is required at the time of application.
Nice to have
- Experience with electric, gas, or water meter installation programs.
- PMP, CEM, CMVP, LEED AP, or equivalent professional certification.
