Field Service Engineer (Diagnostics)

Location: Remote from the El Paso, Texas, United States area; service within an assigned geography and periodic overnight travel to other areas required.

Salary: $32.00–$37.00 per hour, plus eligible bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, install, maintain, modify, and repair Beckman Coulter diagnostic equipment.
• Service hematology, urinalysis, immunoassay, and laboratory automation systems.
• Provide efficient customer service and technical training on products.
• Maintain customer service logs and internal records, order repair parts, and meet service cycle times.
• Use OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service-call planning and team objectives.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and help train newer Field Service Engineers.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, military experience, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotic, electronic equipment, or instrumentation.
• Current valid driver’s license and a good driving record over the last three years.
• Ability to travel within the assigned service geography and periodically travel overnight to other areas.
• Ability to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform frequent bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, reaching, and extended standing or sitting.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventive maintenance, modification, or service repair experience.
• Experience developing business relationships that improve customer satisfaction and retention.
• Technical college major in biomedical technology, engineering, or a related field.
