MIC Tech - Sr MIC Tech

Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States. Onsite field role requiring extensive travel, outdoor work, customer-premises access, emergency call-outs, and possible residence requirements based on response time.

What you will do

• Operate, maintain, test, calibrate, inspect, and replace electronic correctors, EFMs, flow measurement devices, pressure regulation equipment, and odorizing equipment.
• Support large diaphragm, turbine, rotary, orifice, ultrasonic, and Coriolis meters, along with communication circuits, modems, radios, satellite equipment, land lines, RTUs, and SCADA systems.
• Inspect, test, calibrate, and maintain natural gas quality equipment, including samplers, chromatographs, hydrogen sulfide, and moisture detection systems.
• Coordinate measurement tests with third-party companies and verify accuracy, measurement integrity, and contractual compliance.
• Monitor natural gas quality and operational balancing systems, initiating enforcement or improvement actions when required.
• Respond to natural gas emergencies, maintain accurate regulatory records, and identify and resolve safety and encroachment issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and three years of natural gas measurement, construction and maintenance, and/or service field experience, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license meeting company standards.
• Ability to perform complex calculations related to measurement principles and concepts.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and multiple technologies for creating documents, reports, and graphics.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays, standby duty, emergency call-outs, extensive hours, and in varied outdoor conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and perform bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, ladder, confined-space, and extended walking activities.
