What you will do

• Manage, mentor, develop, and performance-manage a team of workers compensation claim professionals.
• Recruit talent, support onboarding, and implement staffing, retention, succession, and development plans.
• Review claim files and new notices, assign claims according to staff capabilities, and maintain quality standards.
• Develop file management strategies to improve claim resolution, customer service, accuracy, efficiency, and cost control.
• Use data, management information, and technology to support business strategies and improve results.
• Build relationships with colleagues, customers, agents, regulatory agencies, and business partners; participate in meetings and agency visits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of claims work experience in one or more lines of business.
• Claims management experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Insurance license(s) may be required and generally must be obtained within three months of starting; continuing education may be required.
• Ability to lead teams, drive results, manage change, execute business strategy, and hold others accountable.
