Maintenance Technician - Manufacturing M (Medical Manufacturing)

Location: Irvine, California, United States; fully onsite

Compensation: $33.44–$47.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facility equipment, support systems, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning machines, facility systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Inspect machinery and systems for faults and take proactive action to minimize downtime.
• Improve the functionality, efficiency, and reliability of facility equipment and systems.
• Document maintenance activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance, training, and oversight to junior team members or operating technicians when assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma and two years of related experience.
• Advanced working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and facility maintenance practices.
• Ability to install conduit, pull control wire, measure and interpret line and phase voltages and currents, and troubleshoot transformers.
• Knowledge of refrigerants, condensers, pumps, evaporators, expansion devices, air-handling systems, facility power distribution, and positive-pressure requirements in controlled environments.
• Ability to read basic mechanical blueprints and understand electrical schematics, lockout/tagout procedures, and protective clothing requirements.
• Ability to install and solder or braze copper pipe, tubing, and fittings; identify gauges; and cut and bend sheet metal.

Nice to have

• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
• Knowledge of motor controls, sensors, electrical control devices, and basic fluid principles.
• Understanding of SDWT principles.
