TL;DR
Oncology Stewardship Pharmacist (Oncology Pharmacy): Managing antineoplastic formulary onboarding, exception-order review, medication standardization, and stewardship metrics across cancer-care sites with an accent on safe, effective, cost-efficient medication use. Focus on building pharmacy information-system and EHR resources, developing dashboards, supporting prior authorization, and educating healthcare professionals on antineoplastic utilization.

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid work with 2–3 days onsite per week

Salary: $158,200–$170,000 per year

What you will do

  • Coordinate onboarding of new antineoplastic medications across formulary, pharmacy information systems, operational workflows, and staff education.
  • Standardize medication onboarding and antineoplastic guidelines across institute sites.
  • Review exception orders and assess compendia or literature support for prior authorization.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, databases, and dashboards supporting antineoplastic stewardship.
  • Collaborate on medication safety initiatives, quality improvement, and implementation of clinical support tools.
  • Lead education, training, competency assessment, and performance improvement for pharmacists, residents, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • At least 5 years of clinical pharmacy experience, including 4 years in oncology.
  • Massachusetts pharmacist license required.
  • Advanced specialty-practice degree or relevant Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties or other certification.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, leadership, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with technology and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
