Machine Operator I – Automated Manufacturing (Day Shift 6a-6p))

Location: Buffalo, NY, United States; onsite role. Rotating 12-hour shifts run from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM and include rotating weekends and holidays.

Salary: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, dependent on experience. A discretionary annual bonus may also be provided.

What you will do

• Operate and monitor automated production equipment, including saws, stackers, ovens, conveyors, and automated material-handling systems.
• Monitor HMI and control screens, production setpoints, and alarms; make routine adjustments and escalate issues.
• Load and unload materials, perform equipment checks, and document production, downtime, and quality data.
• Conduct dimensional, appearance, color, labeling, and packaging inspections.
• Stack, label, band, and prepare finished products according to standards and customer requirements.
• Report mechanical, electrical, automation, and quality issues while supporting troubleshooting with Maintenance and Leads.

Requirements

• Manufacturing experience in production, assembly, automated equipment, CNC-support environments, or a similar setting.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete production documentation.
• Basic math, measurement, and defect-recognition skills.
• Ability to follow plant safety procedures and perform Lockout/Tagout procedures; training may be provided.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift or move materials as required.
• Must be at least 18 years old, pass a drug test, and work the assigned rotating shift schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated manufacturing, CNC-related environments, robotics, automation, or HMI/PLC interfaces.
• Extrusion, polymer manufacturing, or process manufacturing experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
