What you will do

• Prepare medication orders by compounding and admixing chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy medications.
• Verify order completeness, patient information, physician authorization, dosage volumes, and metric-to-apothecary conversions.
• Handle medications and materials according to OSHA, department, and interoffice guidelines.
• Dispose of used materials, clean medication hoods, check drug expiration dates, and support quality assurance activities.
• Maintain temperature, protocol-drug, patient-assistance-drug, lot-number, inventory, labeling, billing, and data-entry records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of pharmacy experience.
• Pharmacy technician certificate required.
• Ability to read measurements, perform dosage calculations, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
