Pharmacist, Registered (Oncology)

Location: Ocala, Florida, United States; onsite at the Ocala practice

What you will do

• Prepare, compound, verify, and dispense medication orders, including chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy IVs.
• Review patient profiles, drug data, dosages, incompatibilities, insurance approvals, and physician authorizations.
• Provide drug counseling and pharmacological information to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Organize pharmacy technician workflows and verify pharmaceutical preparation, labeling, order entries, charges, and inspections.
• Maintain prescription, controlled-substance, temperature, inventory, billing, protocol-drug, and patient-assistance records.
• Follow OSHA, legal, accreditation, quality assurance, compliance, and medication-safety requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Current pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• At least three years of experience as a registered pharmacist.
• Experience with IV pharmacy skills is preferred.
• Oncology pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians as needed.
