Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; 100% onsite

What you will do
- Oversee the preparation, sterile compounding, order verification, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals.
- Dispense chemotherapy, biologics, controlled substances, sterile products, and investigational medications.
- Evaluate medication orders for completeness and appropriateness and consult with providers and nurses to clarify them.
- Identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related problems and adverse drug events while optimizing therapy.
- Perform quality control for medication orders, prepared medications, compounding logs, refrigerators, hoods, emergency carts, and controlled-substance inventories.
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and students and contribute to staff training and multidisciplinary education.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Five years of hospital pharmacy, ambulatory care, or sterile compounding experience, including four years of oncology experience; alternatively, completion of a PGY2 oncology or relevant specialty residency.
- Active Massachusetts pharmacist license required; additional licensure may be required for some satellite locations.
- Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate across teams, use pharmacy technology and drug information resources, and exercise critical thinking.
- Ability to resolve complex problems within the scope of practice and escalate appropriately.
