Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Clinical-Track of Physical Therapy

Location: Stephenville, Texas; 12-month appointment based on the main campus. Work hours are generally Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, or as teaching and work requirements indicate. Teaching may occasionally be assigned at other campus locations or through approved instructional modalities.

What you will do

• Help develop, implement, assess, and advance the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and curriculum.
• Teach lectures, seminars, and laboratory courses in areas aligned with professional expertise.
• Mentor doctoral students and provide academic guidance, feedback, and support.
• Evaluate student performance, learning outcomes, and readiness to progress through the curriculum.
• Participate in accreditation activities, program development, university committees, and professional service.
• Engage in scholarship, professional development, and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Earned doctoral degree in Physical Therapy or a terminal academic doctoral degree in a relevant field.
• Unrestricted Texas physical therapist license or eligibility for licensure, if practicing as a physical therapist.
• Three years of clinical experience; candidates with less experience may be considered based on outstanding academic or clinical achievements.
• Commitment to physical therapy education, ethical practice, student success, mentoring, and professional collaboration.
• Ability to participate in accreditation-related work and institutional service.
• All positions are security-sensitive and require a criminal history investigation and credential verification.

Nice to have

• Teaching experience in a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist education program.
• Board certification in orthopedics, neurology, or cardiovascular and pulmonary physical therapy.
• Professional presentations, publications, or active engagement in the physical therapy profession.
• Knowledge of competency-based physical therapist education.
• Terminal academic degree or current enrollment in a post-professional degree program.
