Department Head & Associate/Full Professor of Health & Human Physiology

Location: Primarily on campus in Stephenville, Texas; occasional travel to hirify.global campus locations is required. Work is generally Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, or as teaching and work responsibilities indicate.

What you will do

• Provide academic and administrative leadership for the Department of Health and Human Physiology.
• Develop and implement departmental vision and strategic plans aligned with college and university priorities.
• Manage budgets and allocate departmental resources, including equipment, laboratories, technology, and office space.
• Oversee curriculum development, academic program assessment, accreditation compliance, and creation of new programs.
• Lead faculty and staff recruitment, mentoring, workload planning, evaluations, conflict resolution, and professional development.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, maintain an active research agenda, and contribute through scholarly publication, presentation, or other creative activity.

Requirements

• Distinguished record in teaching and research warranting a tenured appointment at the Associate or Full Professor rank.
• Knowledge of disciplinary subject matter sufficient for graduate-level instruction.
• Effective written and oral communication skills for teaching and research.
• Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
• Employment is primarily campus-based in Stephenville, Texas and includes occasional travel to other campus locations.

• Experience overseeing accredited academic programs or leading accreditation efforts.

• Experience translating strategic plans into operational goals and leading direct reports.
