Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Tenure-Track of Physical Therapy (Physical Therapy)

Location: On campus in Stephenville, Texas; Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM or according to work and teaching requirements. Teaching may be assigned at other campus locations or through approved instructional modalities.

What you will do

• Contribute to the development, implementation, assessment, accreditation, and ongoing success of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
• Teach lectures, seminars, laboratories, and other course content in areas of professional expertise.
• Develop syllabi, instructional materials, assessments, and curriculum improvements while evaluating student learning and progression.
• Mentor doctoral students in academic and research activities and provide ongoing academic guidance.
• Maintain an active research, scholarship, or creative activity agenda and disseminate original work through publications and presentations.
• Participate in program, college, university, professional, and community service, including work related to rural health disparities.

Requirements

• Terminal academic degree in a related field, or current enrollment in a post-professional degree program. Physical therapists must hold an earned doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
• Unrestricted Texas physical therapist license or eligibility for licensure is required for candidates who are physical therapists.
• Three years of clinical experience; candidates with less experience may be considered when they demonstrate outstanding academic performance or clinical achievement.
• Commitment to teaching, ethical physical therapist education, student success, mentoring, collaboration, and professional service.
• Successful completion of credential verification and a criminal history investigation is required for this security-sensitive position.

Nice to have

• Teaching experience in a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist education program.
• Board certification in orthopedics, neurology, or cardiovascular and pulmonary physical therapy.
• Professional presentations or publications and a history of extramural grant funding.
• Knowledge of competency-based physical therapist education and active engagement in the profession.
