Engineering Technician I (Manufacturing)

Location: Corp-Offsite - Diamond Bar, California, United States; approximately 75% travel to Niagara facilities around the country.

Compensation: $21.38–$28.33 per hour

What you will do

• Support plant maintenance teams and internal Engineering Technicians with production machinery repairs and technical expertise.
• Conduct diagnostic visits to identify machine-center problems, wear, and tear across production lines.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend parts and labor for annual rebuilds and overhauls.
• Work in teams with plant maintenance staff to prepare and rebuild machine centers.
• Attend machine-center training, evaluate technician skills, and provide on-the-job training.
• Help develop machine-center training modules and improve the group’s OJT program.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in the field or a similar manufacturing environment and two years of experience in the position.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams, including teams of four.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership, sound judgment, initiative, and attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to develop subject-matter expertise in a machine center relevant to hirify.global’s needs.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Four years of experience in the field or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Two years of experience managing people or projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
