Global Liabilities Accountant

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; onsite

What you will do

• Prepare and record manual journal entries for indirect purchase activity across global operations.
• Complete account reconciliations in BlackLine and maintain adequate supporting documentation.
• Respond to queries from local finance teams and provide audit support.
• Support monthly Balance Sheet and P&L flux analysis, as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and local regulations while strengthening financial controls.
• Contribute to regional and global projects and identify continuous process improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant professional accounting experience.
• Experience in a multinational environment and/or audit.
• Good knowledge of US GAAP and strong analytical skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; international travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience with JDE, BlackLine, Alteryx, or W-Desk.
