R&D Engineering Supervisor (Automotive Components)

Location: New Taipei City, Taiwan

What you will do

• Lead the complete development cycle for automotive components, including design reviews, engineering changes, and progress tracking.
• Develop aluminum die-casting and stamping products using DFMEA, 2D/3D design, supplier mold reviews, DFM, and simulation.
• Drive new product introduction into mass production and support the resolution of major quality issues.
• Coordinate design reviews and technical communications with foreign customers.
• Establish and manage R&D teams, review development costs, and track management objectives.
• Develop product component verification and testing methods.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in institutional design, team leadership, and product development.
• Experience with automotive component design, structural parts, surface treatment, and vehicle durability requirements.
• Knowledge of APQP quality management and IATF 1694 documentation.
• Experience analyzing and simulating structural, vibration, heat-transfer, and electrical-safety requirements; familiarity with FEM or other structural stress simulation software.
• Proficiency with CATIA, AutoCAD, Pro/E, and related engineering design and drafting software.
• Good English skills required for engineering meetings and written communication with foreign customers.

Nice to have

• Experience in system factories.
• Mechanical engineering background.
• CAE experience or willingness to receive CAE training.
