Maintenance Engineer (Chemical Industry)

Location: Nanke, Tainan City, Taiwan; onsite, full time

What you will do

• Maintain and monitor rotating and static mechanical equipment, including compressors, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pipelines, and centrifugal expanders.
• Perform preventive, scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency maintenance on a 24/7 response basis.
• Troubleshoot equipment and carry out hands-on repairs and related technical work.
• Maintain equipment documentation, service histories, checklists, and technical reports in ERP and SAP systems.
• Coordinate or supervise contractor work to ensure safety, quality, and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement, equipment reliability initiatives, CoNC investigations, and corrective action plans.

Requirements

• Technical college or university qualification in Mechanical or Machinery Engineering.
• At least 1–8 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience depending on the position level, including rotating and centrifugal machinery.
• Experience with reciprocating machinery, piping, welding techniques, precision measurement, and machinery materials; advanced requirements may include rigging, layout drawings, and oxygen cleaning.
• Experience in a gas, petrochemical, or chemical manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills; English proficiency is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with basic office software skills.
