CD&A - Director of Commercial Forecasting, Obesity

Location: Thousand Oaks, California, United States; hybrid commuter role with on-site work required at least 2–3 days per week

What you will do

• Lead forecasting efforts for the Obesity business unit and act as the primary forecasting contact for senior therapeutic-area leaders.
• Develop short- and long-term, data- and insight-driven forecasts for brands, inline indications, and near-term launches.
• Prepare and present portfolio-level forecast updates and explain key assumptions, variables, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
• Build consensus among Commercial, R&D, Medical, Finance, Manufacturing, Access, Pricing, and Contracting stakeholders.
• Analyze competitors and market dynamics while integrating insights from Market Research, Analytics, Commercial Insights, Competitive Intelligence, and Marketing Mix.
• Quantify uncertainty through scenario planning, Monte Carlo analysis, statistical trending, and enhanced forecasting methodologies.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 4 years of forecasting experience in biopharma, biotechnology, or pharmaceuticals; or a master’s degree and 7 years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree and 9 years of experience.
• Experience with pharmaceutical data sources such as LAAD, National Audit Rx, Xponent, and epidemiology data.
• Ability to influence and establish credibility with senior leadership, including EVP, SVP, and VP-level stakeholders.
• Leadership experience in building and developing teams, with the ability to mentor forecasting professionals.
• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills for explaining complex concepts and controversial findings.
• Ability to work on-site in the Thousand Oaks office a minimum of 2–3 days per week.
