Location: Monticello, Minnesota, United States; onsite nuclear plant role. Must be available to start in May 2027 or sooner.

Salary: $46.60–$70.00 per hour; annualized total compensation of $157,588–$206,260 depending on experience, license status, and performance. Additional training, access, and qualification bonuses are available.

What you will do

  • Complete Senior Reactor Operator training and required licensing examinations.
  • Support safe nuclear generating plant operations in accordance with technical specifications, licensing requirements, regulations, and company standards.
  • Oversee Control Room Operators and Auxiliary Operators and assess operational issues for plant impact.
  • Coordinate shift activities with plant work schedules and other plant groups.
  • Issue maintenance work requests and maintain operational logs, records, and administrative documentation.

Requirements

  • Meet one of the ACAD 10-01 qualification pathways, including qualifying commercial or military reactor experience, an engineering or related sciences degree with required nuclear experience, or equivalent non-traditional education and experience.
  • Complete all required training and pass applicable licensing exams.
  • Experience requirements range from 12 to 36 months depending on reactor comparability, role, degree, and prior qualifications.
  • Be available to start in May 2027 or sooner.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of reactor theory, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, and ASME Section XI.
  • Previous leadership experience.
